I can't imagine anyone gets excited about going to couples counseling. I know my spouse and I were terrified about what it would be like. Our experience was oddly enjoyable. We actually came to enjoy our time together with Denise and made a date of it. Learning to listen and not react was the toughest. I had all this old baggage that was getting in the way. My wife was able to work through her barriers to trust and we eventually came together again, more connected than ever. I am grateful for the tools we learned. More so for Denise's expertise and care of our broken hearts.
